Use Bee Bucks as an incentive and reward system only; never deduct money as a consequence. Kids will begin to resent the system! Let them know there's nothing holding them back if they fulfill their responsibilities!
For older kids too cool for Bee Bucks, don't miss the Teen Debit Card! Just decide how much your child has earned, fill in the beginning balance (no more than $25), then hand it over to your pre-teen/teen. They get to practice their math skills as they spend!
